Main goals

The Foundation's goals are (as § 7 of the Statute):

Celami Fundacji są:

  1. Promoting knowledge about aviation, including its history and traditions, with particular emphasis on the achievements of the 303rd Warsaw Fighter Squadron named after Tadeusz Kościuszko and the heirs of the history and tradition of the Squadron, i.e. the 1st Fighter Aviation Regiment "Warszawa", the 1st Tactical Aviation Squadron and the 23rd Tactical Air Base;
  2. Integrating society with aviation communities, especially the Polish Air Force;
  3. Supporting all activities for aviation, including Air Force units and military service;
  4. Conducting, inspiring and supporting activities and initiatives aimed at acquiring and protecting monuments of Polish aviation, as well as protecting memorial sites related to aviation;
  5. Promoting the idea of aviation by organizing presentations, theoretical
    and practical training on the ground and in the air, in particular for young people intending to serve in the Air Force;
  6. Popularization and development of air sports;
  7. Shaping patriotic attitudes among young people;
  8. Help for military retirees and pensioners, especially former
    Air Force soldiers;
  9. Helping families and orphans of professional soldiers, especially former Air Force soldiers;
  10. Activities for organizations whose statutory goals include: scientific, technical, educational and cultural activities in the field of physical culture and sports, environmental protection, charity, health protection and social assistance, professional and social rehabilitation of disabled people.

The Foundation pursues its goals through (as § 8 of the Statute):

  1. Preparing and conducting thematic programs to achieve their goals;
  2. Promotional, educational, publishing, scientific and research activities;
  3. Organizing aviation events, competitions, sports and recreational events, lectures, symposia and community meetings addressing the Foundation's goals;
  4. Collecting and securing souvenirs and exhibits;
  5. Acquiring and restoring decommissioned aircrafts to a flying condition;
  6. Cooperation with units subordinate to the Minister of National Defence, aviation centres, local and government authorities and non-governmental organizations within
    the scope specified in the objectives of the Foundation's operation;
  7. Support in preparing for civilian life and functioning on the labour market, including reconversion and retraining for a new profession.
